Milwaukee 6 pc White Pearl Finish Natural Birch Shells Reviews 5

I bought my kit just about 1 year ago from Jim Labbs, after surfing the net for a kit. I was very excited and even more skeptical about the quality of the set for the price i paid. $549.00.

Well i have logged 4000 miles of road use and over 40 gigs with the kit so far. What i like: The shells have a clear coat finish over a natural Birch 9 ply shell. The clear coat is tough and durable, holding up extremely well. The drums are solid and very durable. The toms have excellent warm tones that fill out any room. The 22" 10 lug kick is strong and fat. The 10 lug 14" snare has a 6 ply maple shell that would make jon bonham smile. The tom mounts are the swivel ball type. This makes it so easy to get your own set up preference.Your not limited to how you can angle your toms. They also lock tight and stay put. All of the lugs have a rubber gasket seperating it from the shell. This all but eliminates over tone and unwanted sounds. No over tone, not enough to bitch about anyway. The hardware is strong and holds up well on the road.

Not much here,i would like to see the snare stand be the swivel ball type. The 10" added tom only came with the ratched or pearl type mount. I thought they should have used the ball type here as well. The heads came with a cheap low grade remo on them.Throw aways. But thats typical with all new kits anyway. Other than that your not going to find a better set for the money. One last note is they need to market the drums better. Not many people no about them.

Very good consruction. Nothing looks or sounds cheap. Real good solid kit.
